Conair Hair Straightener vs Revlon Hair Straightener?
Hey i am about to buy a new straightener and narrowed my search down to either the Revlon Perfect Heat 2-in-1 Ceramic Curler and Straightener or the Conair Split-Barrel 1.5'; Iron and Straightener

They're actually pretty much the same iron.
Alot of those brands are generic, so they're just rebadged for the brand.

I would highly recommend the chi yes it is expensive but it is a great investment and it is also better for your hair. I am a hair stylist and i use one every day. I love it.

Which Revlon hair dye will actually make my hair look red?
Right now, I have blonde hair. I want to dye it red, and I can't use anything but Revlon because they are the only ones that don't test on animals. They also are the only ones that don't have much of a selection. I know most, if not all, henna hair dyes don't test on animals, and neither does Manic Panic, but I don't want to use those. I have been looking at Revlon's Colorist and Colorsilk red dyes, and most of them just look brown to me. I want a ruby red that isn't real dark with no orange tones. Has anybody tried any of Revlon's red hair dyes? If so, how did it turn out, and what was your starting color?Which Revlon hair dye will actually make my hair look red?

have u tried natural cosmetic companies, such as naturtint? herbatint? can find in most health food stores or online. naturtint has pretty, vibrant reds. keep in mind that ALL reds no matter what company u use fade very fast! just how it is w/ reds. i also personally like manic panic/henna. if you take something from US to India that has a plug, it will not work. because India has different volts than US. India has a specific number volt. Only a few countries have the same volt as India.

It's obviously one of a kind, sell it on ebay as an antique and historical item as there wasn't electrical power in 1875 to use it. Oh, do you mean a model number?
IF you still have the box, look for the hotline number or customer service number(you could also try the Revlon website). They be able to offer a replacement free of charge. You could always return it to the store and see if they will exchange it. Good Luck!

I am BLONDE, and evena box blonde makes me orange. I suggest that you should get it professionally done when going to a completely new color. Going to such a drastic color can really damage your hair unless you have it done professionally in a salon. Although it may be pricey, it is well worth it. :] good luck!

Revlon hair dye soft black?
hello! i'm asian and was thinking of redying my hair back to my original hair color which is 'black'. however, i do not want it to be a jet black (which looks artificial and fake).

I have never tried the wet to straight flat iron, but I know they are NOT good for your hair at all. Hair is most vulnerable to damage %26amp; heat when it is wet, %26amp; no matter how a straightener is advertised, even if it says it works great on wet hair, it will RUIN YOUR HAIR %26amp; give you tons of split ends, as well as rough, dry, tangled strands. I have tried a Revlon %26amp; it didn't work too well. I have thick, soft, shoulder length wavy hair, %26amp; it is in good condition but Revlon did not keep it straight at all. It stayed straight for literally 15 minutes before I saw my waves again. My friend, who has thick curly long hair uses the vidal sassoon %26amp; her hair looks amazing every morning. I've never used it, so I wouldn't know, but judging by my friend's hair, I'd say the vidal sassoon works pretty well. As with any flat iron though, make sure you use hair products such as heat protectants. I highly recommend Tresemme Heat Tamer %26amp; tresemme Anti-Frizz Secret. you can wash it with dish soap...its supposed to make it fade faster. otherwise, if you just keep washing it, it will fade out eventually. i dye my hair all the time and the first little while after i dye it, it's always darker than i intended. it will fade though, just have patience.

so when i opened up the package and read the instructions and everything, i found that it comes with a cap and not a brush. i have previously only highlighted my hair once, but in that product it came with an applicator brush.
would it still work good if i used the cap with long hair? my hair is slightly past my shoulders.

If you've washed it and dried it and don't see a difference, either you didn't leave it in long enough or you should try a different shade. I have very dark hair. So if I want to do a drastic color change, I typically have to go at least 2 shades lighter than I really want for it to come out right. how often can you dye your hair with revlon colorsilk products? i have naturally blonde hair but i dyed it dark brown back in march (of this year) and now i'm wanting to go back to my blonde color.

u should try using a more gentle shampoo. does ur shampoo say ';gentle enough for dyed or permed hair';? even though revlon is not that expensive, it should stay in. make sure u use enough and keep it on long enough, and follow ALL the instructions. then, try to keep it out of the sun for long periods of time and out of chlorine for a while. and use a very gentle shampoo! maybe try one that is supposed to enhance burgendy in ur hair?

Well it depends on the color of the dye as well but yes it will fade unless you use a color safe conditioner and shampoo to keep it vibrant and if you really hate it use a product call color oops its sold at most drugstores and will take out all dyes except for henna and ones like blues purples and pinks
i think that with your eyes and skin any color that you like would work on you and dont worry it wont make your skin too pale

I have one of those, I love it! It does take a while to do all of your hair, especially if you have medium or long hair. All that I did was take sections of hair, about 1 to 2 inches, start at the top near your scalp. You put the strands of hair in between the plates (just open the clamp and put your hair in it and close) and leave it there for about 5-10 seconds and then move to the next part down on the same section of hair. If you space it out it won't look crimped. Don't forget to get the underneath layers of your hair too, you don't want straight pieces sticking out. Well I have one of those aswell and you gotta let it heat up for quite a while. After that put some protective product in your hair and start with your bottom layer. from the top of each section to the bottom make sure you put the rollers overlapped, so that you dont put a crip in the middle of your hair. It's a littel trickier with the top layer because the 3-barrel has a sharp edge, so flip your iron and keep the edge of the barrel off your roots. wait for your hair to cool down before running a comb through it slowly to mesh the waves together. Good luck

Revlon hair weaving ';yaky'; remi is that hair any good?
Indian Remy is the best Remy product. Make sure it's a real Remy brand there are alot of imitators. Remy cost more, but the hair is re-usable meaning you can wash it blow dry it and it looks just like when you first bought the pack. IT doesn't tangle like the other ';yaki'; hairs. And the shine last, it's worth the money. Try it and see.

i think that the only home remedy that you can do is to wash it with a really strong shampoo so that your orange will fade... trust me I've been there.. i had almost black hair and tried to dye it blonde... but with an infant, anything to go darker will stay in your hair rather than remove, (so the toxins and the smells will stay)
*if you want to go blonde it will only take another application in two weeks....
*but if not, either find a way to like it, or try, and i mean try, to dye it to your natural color... or...

It depends on your natural tones. I wouldn't recommend it. Depending on your hair tones...an ash brown could cause it to turn gray-ish. (It happened to me).

Ash colors have a cool undertone (blue or green as a base) and on freshly bleached hair tend to pull up that color, leaving a greyish or greenish hue to the color....after hair is lightened it often has brassy tones to it (orangy or goldish or reddish) which makes it more difficult for someone who isnt a liscenced haidresser to determine what color to use to acheive the desired result...I reccomend going to a stylist for a drastic change...but if you INSIST upon doing it at home, use a light neutral brown....because bleached hair will often end up one shade darker...and a neutral base is you're best bet in avoiding a huge mishap...this should get you as close to what you want as can be done at home without a professional stylist...just so you know, you really should get this done professionally, its an accident waiting to happen, but if you wont do that, follow my advice

there are guides on boxes that can give you an approximate color of what your hair will turn out to look like. remember, the longer you leave it on, the more intense it will be. don't leave it on for more than 30-40 minutes!
a brighter, richer red dye will most likely get the results you're looking for when put to light brown hair.

But like I said, Revlon probably don't use the same number system.

if you put a dark red dye over light brown hair, it will NOT fade to orange. it will eventually fade back to brown, albeit a darker one than at first.
there are guides on boxes that can give you an approximate color of what your hair will turn out to look like. remember, the longer you leave it on, the more intense it will be. don't leave it on for more than 30-40 minutes!
a brighter, richer red dye will most likely get the results you're looking for when put to light brown hair.

If you HAVE dyed your hair before then you can only dye it a darker colour without having to bleach it.
I'm not familiar with the revlon number system, only the proper hairdressing one. Based on the proper hairdressing number system, USED IN SALONS NOT HOME DYES, I would say that anything that begins with a number 4 or 5 would be good.
But like I said, Revlon probably don't use the same number system.

I have had a Revlon and i do not recommend it. It is a decent one. But my hair is very curly and frizzy and to get the job done you might need a more expensive one. If you are willing to spend money on a straightener i recommend a chi straightener.

How long does Revlon hair color usually last?
today i purchased the Revlon Color Silk Dark Mahogany Brown #32 hair dye and dyed my hair from super light blonde to this dark brown. My boyfriend absolutly hates it and i would like to know just a general time span in which the color would go away, or fade enough for me to dye it back to my original blonde color. if anyone has any ideas or experience with this same experience please let me know.How long does Revlon hair color usually last?

Should I mix Revlon hair dye in a bowl?
I am dying my hair for the first time and watched videos on youtube on how to do it. Most people mix it together in a bowl and use a comb to put it on. The directions dont say to use a bowl or a comb. What is the right way to do it?Should I mix Revlon hair dye in a bowl?
I never used a bowl to dye mine and I've died mine probably 5 or more times maybe. My mom does it and she pours it onto my hair from the bottle after mixxing the two bottles together of course.

Yes you can definitely comb it through with a comb by mixing it in a PLASTIC bowl. This can guarantee you a much more even process and you can monitor which part of your hair has the color on it and which doesn't.
the reason why I exalted the Plastic is because if you use a metal bowl you will alter the effect of the hair color resulting in a different color. So make sure it's plastic.

It is easier to put it in a squirt bottle and apply to the first inch of hair nearest your scalp first...then apply to the rest of your hair. I guess you could use a bowl, but still apply to the hair closest to your scalp first and then bring out to the rest of your hair. Be sure to wear gloves and put something down on the floor so you don't drip. The reason you put it near your scalp first is because that hair is not sun damaged and is not as dry. The hair on the end will absorb the dye quicker because it is more damaged and dried.

I swear by my chi. All the other brands that I have ever purchased...Revlon, Conair, remington,....don't come close in comparison..AT ALL. If you're really unsure, ask your hairdresser. They will be able to suggest a good product that doesn't come near the price.
