remington wet 2 straight is really freaking good for thick hair. you can straighten right out of the shower so you don't waste time blow-drying (my hair is thick also and blow drying took me foreverrr), and it has 35 or 40 different heat settings, so if you only need to touch up you can use a cool setting, but if you need heavy duty power you can go all the way hot. and if i remember correctly, mine was $30 and i got it at walmart, so it's definately very affordable. What is better,Revlon,Andis,Conair,Vid鈥?sassoon,Hot tools Remington wet2straight??Thick hair (tight budget)?
Hot Tools, or Ceramic! They are both great brands!!!
I know that your budget is tight but the best flat iron is the chi. I have it and it works great on really curly hair. But it's like $150.00 bucks. I would try and get one off ebay.
